Fully cooked!

Today marks a very special milestone!  Today I am 37 weeks and Addison is officially fully cooked!  I am more ready then ever for her to get here and to meet our baby girl.  This weekend will comprise of some errands for some last minute baby/mommy essentials, getting everything packed and ready for the hospital, and lots of laundry as we start to wash all of her little clothes.  The crazy labor dreams have also started for both Eric and I as of last night...we both dreamt we were at the hospital, but it was a false alarm!  Lets hope we have none of those...


At 34 weeks, we had a great maternity session with Becky from Completely Captivating Photography outside of the Flagler Museum where we had our wedding reception and below are a few of my favorites!

 

A rocking chair with a WHOLE LOT of tradition!

In December, my sweet grandparents who I love very much were nice enough to drive down a rocking chair all the way from Houston that they have had for many years.  My grandmother remembers being rocked in this chair, as well as my mom and myself.  I never knew the story behind the rocker, but come to find out, this rocking chair is so old it belonged to Addison's great, great, great grandfather!  Not only is it a beautiful addition to the nursery, but what a sweet piece of tradition to pass down from one generation to another.  Below is the lineage from now to the original owner of the rocking chair:

The rocking chair today!  The wood is absolutely beautiful and the only thing we did was get it re-upholstered and now its all ready for lots of rocking with Addison!

Discovery Shuttle Launch

Eric and I went to the last launch for the Discovery Shuttle at the Kennedy Space Station.  Besides the hours of traffic after the launch, it was a beautiful day and we had a great time!

Project Nursery...Part 3.75!

Ok, Peyton's artistic skills did not stop there.  Look at what she created today!!  The pattern is from the white fabric in the bedding.  Thank you again Peyton!!!

The temporary changing table also came in today.  The real one won't be here until the end of May :(

Project Nursery...Part 3.5!

Happy Presidents Day!  I'm very happy to have the day off!  My brother Spencer and his girlfriend Peyton also have the day off, so they came down yesterday to hang out.  Peyton is an AMAZING artist and added some very cute touches to the nursery!  Thank you Peyton!!!

Project Nursery...Part 3!

2 months or 8 weeks or 56 days...any way you put it, its coming up fast!  And whose counting??  ME!!  Over this last week, we have made some major progress on Project Nursery that I would like to share!

1. Wallpaper is up

2. Armourer has its first few coats of white paint

(I swear Cocoa thinks this is her new room)

3. The tree is up...it was about a 3 to 4 hour process, but Eric did a very good job and was very patient with all 25 pieces!

(I was obviously a lot of help)

4. Next was her monogram

(changing table will go under her monogram)

And so far we have...

(As you can see, the bump is getting quite large and Addison's weight is supposed to double between now and her due date...ahhh!)

Next on the to do list...mom and I are going to somehow make beautfiul curtains out of this pile of fabric...wish us luck!
